Autumn Winds Dancing

Meet Autumn Winds Dancing, the squirrel girl!

This sketch came about partially to test my skill in the anthro style, the squirrel being chosen on account of my unofficial nick-name. Mostly though, she was inspired by the tabletop game Exalted, by White Wolf.

Autumn is my Lunar character. She not only has squirrel related features, but also personality. Very talkative and only a little jumpy in social situations, she'd incredibly agile and sneaky - when she wants to be. When she was young, her village was destroyed by a demon lord, and after roughing it in the wild on her own for a while, she came across a band of travelers who ended up actually being Exalted warriors. They helped her learn to fight and improve her skills, and she now travels with them, in search of vengence for her village.

Pose inspired and visually copied (NOT traced) from one of the volumes of How to Draw Manga books - either Bodies and Anatomy -or- the more likely, Illustrating Battles. Tail, clothing, hair, etc. original though. (Right foot is a little fudge because in drawing her, i gave her two left feet! >_< Didn't realize it until after I'd colored her and had started lining with the ink...)
